ABOUT
Candles are special. They have always been a fascination, and a symbol of something deeper.
They serve as functional and ornamental items, but their true essence lies in their ability to mark moments of joy, celebration, worship and sorrow. There's an inherent symbolism, a calming and spiritual presence that accompanies each flickering flame.
The inspiration behind the brand Myth & Wild is Medusa. She represents philosophy, beauty and art. She is a guardian and protectress, an apotropaic symbol used to protect from and ward off the negative.
At Myth & Wild we are passionate about creating beautiful and sophisticated statement pieces.Each candle is carefully hand crafted in Malta using a soy wax blend. This wax is non toxic, biodegradable, vegan friendly and not tested on animals. We aim to uplift your space with unique candles that fill your room with calm and tranquility.

CANDLE CARE
Our candles are hand poured with great care and love they are designed to be a unique and beautiful statement piece that is meant to enrich your space and create a calming environment.
We have tested many different candle wicks to ensure that your Myth & Wild candle has a long lasting and have an even burn.
Each candle has it's own unique sculptural feature and since they are all different in shape and size they will burn differently, some with longer or lesser burning times.
Your candles may develop some frosting, this is normal for soy wax candles and is not a defect.
We recommend the following tips for burning your new candle:
FIRST BURN

Before lighting our Myth & Wild candles please remove our label and trim the wick to1cm.

Light your candle in a well-ventilated safe space clear of any flammable objects.

Let the candle burn for approximately 1 hour so that a “melt pool” is created. Monitor the candle regularly.

Your candle may drip, this is called a tear drip. We recommend placing your candle/s on a flat dish or candle plate before lighting.

Always remember to blow your candle out when you leave the room or go to bed.
ONGOING USE

We recommend placing your candle away from direct sunlight and heat sources to avoid softening the wax when it is not being used.

If any dust accumulates on your candle use a soft paintbrush to remove gently.

Before you re light your candle we recommend that you trim the wick to 1cm from the surface of the wax, to ensure a consistent smoke-free flame.

We recommend that you burn the larger candles for no more than 3 hours at a time.
CANDLE SAFETY

Keep away from flammable objects and furnishings.

Keep your candles out of reach from children and a safe distance from pets.

Our candles should not be lit without them being placed on a flat dish or plate.

Never leave your candle unattended.

Packaging is an essential part of gifting. All our candles, however large or small are packaged with care to
ensure your gifts are presentable at whatever time of the year.
Our new satin pouches come in three different sizes and can be reused to store shoes, jewellery,
accessories, cosmetics & so much more.
